Firstly, I googled and searched for an answer to this but without success.
I formatted my hard drive to discover my incremental backup had been corrupted. All data prior to April 2013 gone!!
After this, I backed up my ipod with Windows explorer, dragging all the folders from my ipod to a recovery folder on C:. Then (DOH!!) I installed iTunes and reconnected the ipod without first selecting the non-sync preference - ipod wiped!!
No problem, I thought. I transferred all the files (>60gb) in F00-F49 to iTunes. The majority transferred OK but some 100's have no ID at all and appear simply as the 4 letter ipod name e.g. zpfr - no identifying info at all. They play OK.
My question - is there any way to retrieve this info. There are no details to be seen with the right click>get info.
Any help would be appreciated so much.
