ipod 5 gen not syncing to itunes

Hello



My daughter has a new Ipod touch 5 gen but it will not sync to the itunes.

Computer see s the device but itunes refuses to connect to the ipod.



The computer is running windows 8.1 and her old 2nd gen ipod worked fine.

Please dont suggest force shutting down device reinstalling itunes as all this has been suggested and tried.
