Cannot create/delete playlists for Ipod 5th gen on Itunes

Hi just got a new Ipod! For some reason when I click the add playlist button on the bottom left of Itunes when my new Ipod is in nothing happens! Also I cannot seem to delete the playlists that automatically come with the Ipod like 90's music, classical music, music videos ect...



I know it's not my Itunes because my 4th generation works fine. How can I solve this?
