iPad Air or iPod Classic for Music?

Greetings,

I have been using a 160GB iPod Classic for music, and an iPad for... well, everything else!



My main reason for sticking with the Classic its generous hard drive to hold my entire (70GB) music collection in lossless format.



With the new 128GB iPad Air, I'm thinking the time has come when I can use my iPad for everything.



I'm curious if anyone here has opinions or insights about the sound quality between the iPod Classic and the iPad Air.



I generally play music through my car stereo, or through headphones.
