Apple iPod classic 160g keeps wanting to restore

Hi can someone help please?????

I have an apple iPod classic 160g recently when I went to sync it on iTunes it requested that I restore my iPod which I did and when my iPod switch off and then on again it again asked me to restore it again I have no music on it currently and it still won't sync to do anything just keeps telling me to restore on iTunes please please can anyone solve this I'm really missing my music thanks
