Security questions-apologies if asked before

Hi

Bought ipod 5 for my son two days ago to replace his ipod 4. He set it up and then used his existing iTunes account to validate a gift card. He then tried to download some apps but the system prompted him for answers to 3 security questions etc.

I know this issue has been around for some time but has only affected us now and I can't find a solution despite research.

We are prompted for answers to two security questions: Name of teenage friend and car he hates. My son is only 10 and would have been about 7 when he had his last ipod so neither of these would have been selected anyway. My son seems to think he was prompted for info originally but neither he nor my wife can recall questions or answers!! My wife is also adamant that we were never asked for a "rescue email"

I know I can create anew iTunes account for him with a new email address but that won't allow us to use the credit on the gift card already allocated.

Is there a simple way to reset the security questions in settings using his current iTunes account?

Many thanks for your time.

Simon
