Problem with it being plugged into car AUX

Hi, I use my iPod Touch a lot, especially when I am in my car. I would LIKE to just use the AUX cord to plug into my cars stereo, but the thing is, if I JUST use the AUX, the volume is EXTREMELY low and has very bad sound. So I have to use another cord where it connects to the dock connector, and then it'll work fine. But even if I JUST use the dock connector, it'll be bad as well.



I don't really like having to use two cords to connect to my ipod just to listen to music. Is there anything I can do?
