iPhone 4s will not pick up home wifi.

Hi Have had this problem recently and it's most frustrating. My ipod and ipad have no difficulty connecting to wifi but why not the iphone? I'm running the latest software and was wondering if anyone has had this same problem or could it be a software difficulty.
