I bought this primarily for backing up photos shot on my DSLR on travel. I found that a USB hard drive will work if it's formatted in FAT32 or ExFAT. Since my Mac can read those formats, it's not a problem to format a drive in that fashion. Using their app, I was able to transfer RAW and JPG files from the SD card to the hard drive.
One caveat, the app doesn't make it easy to transfer a lot of files. You have to select then one at a time. If the app was updated to allow for selecting groups of files, it'd be easier.
But, the point is that it works!
What has been your experience. Do you use it for photo backup?
